Ever caught yourself thinking, "Ugh it's just so much easier for them!" Yeah, we've all been there... Where we keep telling ourselves that others were born with it. Others got handed it. Others had an easier route. Others are luckier than the rest of us. It strokes our own ego and validates an internal story of why we can’t accomplish the same thing. It keeps us in our safe little complacent comfort zone. But I'm here to burst that little bubble that maybe you've been hiding in. Only 10% of an iceberg is visible above water.
As a metaphor, that means that only 10% of the work you do and your success is visible to others.
The other 90% of your effort is spent below the surface, with no recognition, no eyes, and no rewards.

So why does that matter?
Because absolutely no one gets to cheat from day one. NO ONE gets to escape -
Hard days Self-doubt Fears Failures Tears Thoughts of giving up Judgement from others Weeks, months, YEARS, DECADES of effort Choosing to believe in themselves even if others don't Choosing to push forward even with no promises or guarantee of ever succeeding SO WHAT'S THE SECRET?!
How do you get to the successful peak?! One answer: Keep trying. That's it. That's all there is to it. People who surface and break out of the water are the ones who keep trying DESPITE challenges, not because they never faced them... I love the quote, "You are what you repeatedly do." If you repeatedly make excuses, then YOU become the obstacle to overcome.
But if you repeatedly stand up when you get knocked down, then you ARE an overcomer. Overcomers become icebergs. Try a little, and you'll be a teensy icicle the ocean quickly melts away... Be willing to try a lot, even when it's hard. Especially when it's hard. And become a 10 million ton iceberg that everyone is in awe of. The choice is yours. It always has been, and it always will be.
